Joe Liefstrum: Phantom Of Secondlife

Night after night, Joe Liefstrum logs into secret secondlife accounts to eavesdrop on Ungren and Help Island Public, patiently waiting for the moment where he might extract his revenge.

Britbongreturns Planning Attack On His Exes

Some people just can't seem to forget and move on.

Passing the first anniversary on the loss of his Youtube channel and approaching the fourth anniversary on the break-up of his first ever romantic relationship, and despite the fact that neither woman has spoken to him or about him in more than a year, Britbong announces plans for revenge on the two women he E-dated from Secondlife.

Britbong seems incapable of accepting loss like an adult.  He keeps thinking one day he will return to Youtube, Twitter and Twitch (he won't) because he deserves it (he doesn't).  He seems to feel the same way about these women.  He can't accept that they had reasons for leaving him and don't intend to return, ever.

That these events were so long ago and he's still obsessed with them makes me wonder about his mental stability.  Maybe it's some sort of plot to attract even more incels to his channel.

"britbong on the phone" here means "britbong in bed" not "britbong out on the town"

"daredevil"??  Maybe he never read the comic
\

he hasn't done anything except posting photos of Ehlnofey's house and school on several internet sites

Discord BTFO

Thinking they had the upper hand, the Adam Safe Space Discord (previously the most populated 2ndLife discord) made a serious mistake last week by allowing one of their mods to ban Waterfallz.

Waterz responded by creating a new Ahern Discord which nearly filled with not only everyone from the Adam Safe Space discord, but dozens others.  Within days, the Safe Space discord grew silent as Ahern Boomed.

The lesson here:  never behave as if you have the upper hand unless you actually have the upper hand.

Signs of a Secondlife Recession

Creators of the once hugely popular, but recently closed,  Pocket Gachas hud reflect on a changing Secondlife economy:

There is no doubt as well that SL commerce is changing. The boom-boom days are long in the past. While perhaps the top 1% of brands might still be doing fine (though I’m certain not selling what they once were) the new and emerging brands are finding it harder and harder to connect with shoppers. The drastic drop in new users in SL and an inability to retain these avatars has led all of us to this juncture. In some ways we have reached the point where we are just selling sneakers to each other. Or, to better quote the old adage, “delivering pizzas to each other.” Because, really, how many sofas can one own after years in SL? The people at Linden Lab are smart. I am sure they know this as well and are working on solutions. Let’s all hope.

The Horrifying World of Second Life

Britbongreturns To The Thing That Got Him Banned In The First Place

Failing to build an audience at either stream.me or mixer.com, Britbong is now using some other service nobody ever heard of and instead of playing games, he's just doing stream raids:  the thing that got him banned from Youtube, Twitch and Hitbox.

I think he's just given up at this point.

Britbongreturns Abandons Stream.me Lawsuit, Begs for Forgiveness

With his move to mixer a massive failure, and lacking in any form of integrity or self-awareness, Britbong has returned to Stream.me, unable to make any money at all on mixer.

His audience doesn't seem to be supporting the move though as he never broke 90 viewers.  Many observers noted that with such low viewership numbers, the stream.me contest is probably Britbong's only source of income which forced his return.

The Bad Guys Stream Off To A Good Start

For their second ever stream, The Bad Guys are off to a great start

YouTube and Free Speech

When YouTube banned Alex Jones, a lot of people began shouting that YouTube was violating the premise of Free Speech.

The problem with that argument is that YouTube never promised "Free Speech".  What they did offer was to host and stream videos for free for anyone so long as the videos met their standards and the uploader abide their arbitration.

This isn't cheap.  YouTube pays for it by offering advertisements along with the video.  There was a time when YouTube could sell ads on pretty much any video, so they let people get away with a lot in terms of content.

That ended though when their advertisers banded together to demand YouTube do a better job of policing their content, which they did.

Speech may be free, but video streaming isn't.  YouTube doesn't owe anybody a place on their service.  Play by their rules or find somebody else to host your videos.

What Happened To Warp Linden?

Once upon a time, Linden Lab had  a pretty liberal policy in regards to employees fraternizing with customers.  After having an open affair with a Linden Lab employee, Ingrid Ingersoll was given control of the Violet Region in perpetuity.  These days apparently are over.

Linden Lab hired Warp Linden (not his real name) to work on their website.  He soon became famous among Secondlife users because he spent time with them, having cordial conversations in Secondlife, including at Info Hubs (like Arapaima).

He was soon given land near Help Island Public where he erected a massive 3-D "WARP" sign, visible from both Help Islands and Orientation Island Public.

A few months ago, the Warp sign disappeared, and users noticed he was no longer making public appearances.  Soon after "Warp Linden" was no longer found in search.  Normally when someone leaves Linden Lab, the users never know what happened to them, but in Warp's case, Justin Chatter discovered this group:
Mandy Nari and Me
Warp's account was closed because LL thought he was getting too close to someone in SL, due to the fact that they would dance together at music events. It seems as though LL employees are not allowed to have friends at all or the dictatorship that is LL will shut them down. Pretty classy of them, huh? :((  We all miss you terribly Warp.
Was Warp Linden killed off for chat dancing with Mandy Nari? Not only is his name removed from Search, but hers is as well. Are we to believe that Linden Lab banned a user for dancing with a Linden Employee?

Today's Moments In History

Of all the speeches given today, Meghan McCain was perhaps the greatest.

“The world is a fine place and worth fighting for and I hate very much to leave it.”

The  other moment history will remember was George W. Bush passing Michelle Obama a piece of candy from his wife Laura.

I've followed McCain's career pretty closely for the last 25 years, but Henry Kissinger told a story I never heard.  When Kissinger met with Vietnamese officials (on the road to the Paris Accords) they offered to let him take John McCain home with him ahead of the other POW's (in deference to his fathers position as Admiral.).  Kissinger refused and insisted McCain return with his fellow prisoners.  In their many meetings through the years, McCain only once ever referred to the incident when speaking to Kissinger, and then only to say "Thank you, for saving my honor"
